Where can I find the statistics for how fortunate we are to be safe, fed, sheltered and literate?

There was a list of statistics I once saw about how we in the west represent a tiny fraction of world peoples who are fed, clothed, relatively safe and free. Anyone remember this and can tell me where to find it or how to look?

Where can I find the statistics for how fortunate we are to be safe, fed, sheltered and literate?
. There are 100's of stats about how lucky we are to be where we are. Just knowing that should be enough.

I suppose you could Google 'World Statistics' or something similar.

"Best countries in the World"?

What's the purpose? It's not like anybody is gonna argue.
Reply:Look inside your own heart.
Reply:There's no standard unit of measurement for luck (yet), so in that regard you're SOL. If you're looking for some good old fashioned, flag waving, nationalist jargon, look no further than your local religious center, country music store or GOP convention. You may be interested in some information about how lucky you are to not be the target of an intolerant, violent and militaristic cadre of lechers and villains. See source 1.

Other than that, try researching blood diamonds, military spending and the history of south American from the colonial period onwards. But if only there were a way to find this information lost in a giant network of computers. Some sort of engine that would search for you. If I were to make such a thing, I would name it after the sound I make when I find something good. A name like "Yippee!" or "Horay!" would be close.

If all your looking for is numbers to pad your delusions of grandure, try source 2.
