What is different between Descriptive statistics and Inferential statistics?

Please could you explain them with clear and simple examples?

Thank you

What is different between Descriptive statistics and Inferential statistics?
Descriptive Statistics are methods to summarize or describe data using graphs or numerical summary measures: "mean", "median" "mode"

Inferential Statistics – methods for using information from a sample to generalize about a population.

"sample Correlation Coefficient" "population Correlation Coefficient"
