What are the crime statistics for the Serra Village section of Salinas, CA 93908?

We're thinking of buying a home in this area and feel it's a safe place to live but would prefer to have information on what crimes have been committed in this housing area before we do.

What are the crime statistics for the Serra Village section of Salinas, CA 93908?
Ask your real estate agent or the listing agent. That's what they are paid to handle.
Reply:Toro Park is very safe. Little crime, no drive-bys.

I would stay away from East Salinas and some parts of North Salinas, but the rest, especially the outskirts (like Toro Park, Las Palmas, Hwy 68) are very safe.
Reply:The only professional that can answer that question is a police officer in that area. I suggest you contact the police department.
Reply:AM is wrong they cant tell you if an area is good or bad. They can lose their license over this. They will say call the police. I will look for a few more places, but this site will get you a great start.

**update**

It looks pretty high compared to national and california average. This is just one site. As the other poster said call the local police.

Here is a website that shows a graph. But it looks pretty high. This will give you all the demographics for that county. Im sure its not the worst but its far from the best. It will break it down by crime as well.

But remember a county is pretty big, at least where I live. We have some of the worst crime in our county. But the city I live in in the same county is the safest in probably the nation. The crime is probably 20 miles away. I never even go there. So dont judge it on county alone. Call the city you will live in.

Good Luck
