I am basically looking to compare the city I work in (as a paramedic) to the city by buddy works in. I think we have had more homicides so far this year and was looking for the numbers to back it up. Thanks!

Jeez I just looked but the book is too hard to dig out right now. Try looking up a book on the web called The American Almanac. It is available through the government printing office. Its published and updated every two years. You will find every statistic about the United States that you can imagine. Want to know the average price of rock salt year by year in this country? Reply:How about the US Dept of Justice? They have crime stats / rates online.
