How are these basketball scenarios put into statistics?

Scenario A:

A player attempts a Field Goal but his shot is blocked just as he releases the ball. The defender gets a Blocked Shot, but does Player A get a Field Goal Attempt in the game statistics?

Scenario B:

A player attempts a field goal but his shot gets swatted away at the basket. The defender gets called for Goaltending, but does Player A get a Field Goal Attempt in the game statistics?

How are these basketball scenarios put into statistics?
On the stat sheet:

A: The shot does count as a shot taken and missed.

B:The shot counts as a shot taken and made.
Reply:by your own words both are a shot by the offensive player

that's the only way you can get a shot blocked

now inscenerio A if the defensive player knocks the ball loose before any shot attempt is made the player isn't charged with a shot but the defensive player doesn't get a block either

he has stolen the ball

the player has to be in a shooting motion for a block to be made and if it is knocked loose before a shot it's a steal (or deflection depending on if the ball stays inbounds or the defensive player recovers it)
