Why does english proficiency important in the field of statistics?
Maybe I can give some direction.
Statistics within an organization, corporation, business (big and small), government, non-profits, etc., shows direction, stability, growth, potential, recommendations, any percentage or stat. Employment in this field, at some point, will require you to explain impacts, how you derived at specific numbers, your points of view, and your foreseeable solidarity of the business itself.
Understand, it must be made absolutely clear, especially to owners and upper management, how your stats were concluded. You must be able to present this in a clear, educated, and professional manner. Presenting to a Board of Directors or stockholders must be clear and precise and you must know answers because you are the expert.
Proper use of the English language and words used gives your presentation increased credibility because you appear intelligent and confident to others. Your ability in public speaking and your approach as a "presenter" gives clarity and a true picture of current and future direction.
